Role: Training Coordinator for IT
Type: Contract
Location: San Francisco, CA (onsite)
Training Coordination
Assess and coordinate MTC technology training needs and requests across departments and projects.
Serve as the primary point of contact for technology program/project teams, consultants, and the MTC Learning & Development team to identify and address technology training requirements.
Review and approve technology training deliverables, ensuring alignment with agency standards and goals.
Coordinate and schedule training sessions to minimize disruption to operations.
Training Standards and Consultation
Provide MTC technology training guidelines, standards, and requirements to project teams and stakeholders.
Consult with technology project teams to ensure training strategies, activities, and deliverables align with MTC standards, requirements, and agency objectives.
Training Design and Delivery
Design training programs based on MTC s needs, leveraging modern tools and methodologies to meet identified needs.
Create user-friendly training materials, such as guides, presentations, videos, and e-learning modules, in line with MTC standards.
Training Collaboration and Evaluation
Collaborate with vendors and consultants to deliver specialized training when an MTC internal trainer is required.
Maintain accurate records of training programs, attendance, and outcomes.
Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through participant feedback, performance metrics, and post-training assessments.
Ensure continuous improvement of training programs by incorporating lessons learned and feedback.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of various technologies, including software, hardware, and IT systems.
Knowledge of common technology training guidelines, standards, and best practices.
Expertise in learning management systems (LMS), e-learning tools, and content development platforms.
Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail.
Analytical skills to assess training needs and evaluate program effectiveness.
Strong collaboration and consulting skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with project teams and consultants.
Education and Experience
5+ years of experience in coordinating technology training initiatives, instructional design, or a similar role.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables concurrently.
