Salary:

Pay ranges from $48-58/hr depending on experience and qualifications.

• Full time M-F, 33-36 hours/week.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in relation to Special Education from an accredited college or university.
• Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Commission special education license.
• Knowledge of core academic subject assigned, curriculum, and ability to instruct students and manage their behavior.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations and policies affecting special education.
• At least one year of teaching experience in a similar special education environment serving students with intellectual disabilities, behavior disorders, and other learning and cognitive delays, preferred.
• Experience working at the secondary level.
• A valid First Aid/CPR Card is preferred.
• Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks.

JOB SUMMARY:
Seeking a compassionate instructor for the Life Skills Education Program, dedicated to supporting students with intellectual disabilities. This role involves delivering adaptive instruction based on established curricular guidelines and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Set measurable instructional goals tailored to individual student needs.
• Create a respectful classroom environment that fosters positive behavior and learning.
• Develop and implement individual behavior support plans as necessary.
• Regularly assess student performance and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate effectively with families and team members regarding student progress.
• Delegate tasks to support personnel to enhance learning opportunities.
