Location:   Onsite in Seattle, WA (Downtown) 

Responsibilities and Duties:

We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant, who is motivated and ready to learn! In this full-time, in-office position, you will manage the filing for 30 companies, support accounts payable & accounts receivable staff accountants, assist with General Ledger tasks, and preparing documents for our annual GAAP audit.

AP support includes checking expense reports, reviewing receipts for corporate credit card charges, matching check stubs with invoices, and preparing checks to be mailed. AR support includes assisting with the prompt and accurate processing of check deposits & incoming wire payments.

Annual audit assistance includes scanning documents and verifying documents are clear and legible before uploading and organizing, as well as other tasks as assigned. We need a team player who is willing to “do what it takes,” who is flexible and can manage concurrent tasks. 

GL assistance includes reconciling accounts, supporting monthly and annual close processes, ensuring data accuracy, and entering and preparing journal entries.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Well-organized and attention to detail is a must 
• Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy 
• Basic typing, word-processing, and data-entry skills 
• Verbal communication and interpersonal skills 
• Team player with a positive attitude, accountability, and responsibility 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 
• Basic Excel skills 
• Good 10-key skills 
• Able to multitask and work well in a deadline-driven environment 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:

• High school graduate or equivalent 
• Knowledge of basic office and administrative software such as MS Office 
• Experience working in an office setting & operating office equipment (Scanner, Copier, etc.) 
• Previous clerical experience 
• Experience working with file-keeping software or cloud storage is a plus

A reasonable, good-faith estimate of the base pay for this position is $38-45 per hour. This estimate is dependent on a variety of factors. This position will also include profit sharing, which also depends on a variety of factors.
