Overview

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Senior Real Estate Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and business writing skills and the ability to work autonomously. This role bridges lease administration and loan diligence and compliance functions, focusing on various aspects of lease compliance and analysis as well as matters at the intersection of leasing, financing, and loan compliance. The Senior Real Estate Analyst will work and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leaders as well as external partners such as legal counsel, lenders, and financial partners.

What to expect

  • Perform detailed analysis of consent requirements applicable to leasing actions in loan and joint venture documents to determine if lender or partner consent is required in connection with new leases, lease amendments and terminations, and other leasing actions.
  • In coordination with cross-functional team members, communicate with and respond to lenders and partners to obtain consent for leasing actions, track status of consents, and communicate with colleagues throughout the process.
  • Prepare and review lease data for tenant estoppels and SNDAs in connection with new loans and refinancing.
  • Prepare lease files for lender due diligence and lease document exhibits for loan disclosure schedules.
  • Organize and maintain data regarding lender consent requirements and lender contacts.
  • Maintenance of information in Salesforce related to lender consent requirements and status.
  • Read, interpret, and abstract lease documentation.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and summaries based on analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members on various projects and initiatives.
  • Prepare contingency reports with critical dates to flag delivery and other pertinent lease construction dates.
  • Conduct thorough lease scrubs to review and compare lease agreements, ensuring they align with current market terms and legal requirements.
  • Assist with lease due diligence and onboarding in connection with real estate acquisitions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in real estate analysis, lease administration, or loan/mortgage coordination.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and business writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in using real estate management software, such as MRI to manage and analyze lease data.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is a plus.
