POSITION TITLE

Scrum Master

 

POSITION OVERVIEW

This role will be integral to our enterprise digital transformation. The driving force behind constant business growth is the presence of skilled and dedicated Scrum Masters. We’re searching for a highly skilled Scrum Master to contribute to Milliken’s growth and help us maintain our position as an innovative authority. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a manufacturing company as well as strong facilitation and coaching skills. They will be expected to support and guide the team in Agile practices, remove impediments, and foster a collaborative environment. In addition, this role will be an important catalyst to digital thinking in the “art of the possible” and architecting solutions that support future needs.

 

This position is based at our corporate headquarters located in Spartanburg, SC. Travel requirements are minimal but may be occasionally necessary to provide on-site support for projects.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Support the Product Owner in maintaining the product backlog.
  • Remove impediments and blockers to ensure the team can progress smoothly.
  • Foster a collaborative and self-organizing team environment.
  • Coach team members in Agile practices and principles.
  • Ensure the team adheres to Scrum practices and principles.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and report on team performance and progress.
  • Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Support the team in achieving their goals and delivering high-quality products.

 

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED

 

  • This position requires candidates to be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship for a work visa (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.).
  • BS Degree
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Agile and Scrum practices
  • Proven success working with all levels of management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills
  • Experience in removing impediments and fostering a collaborative environment
  • Possess broad knowledge of best Agile practices
  • Experience coaching and educating project teams to strengthen team members’ capabilities and skill sets
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

 

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED

  • Experience with Agile project management tools like Jira
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification
