Where you fit in

The Project Engineer has the primary responsibility for Delivering Capital Projects from front end development (Assess, Select & Define phases) to detailed design and construction (Execute phase) including procurement, cost control and schedule management in accordance with the PMF (Project Management Framework)
  • Accountable for delivery of assigned projects within cost and schedule premises at Goal Zero.
  • Manages a matrix project team of Shell staff and Contractors
  • Oversees engineering execution utilizing either on-site design staff or local Engineering companies.
  • Manages a matrix project team of Shell staff and Contractors with influence in lieu of direct authority
  • Responsible for coordination and management of Project Assurance activities.
  • Responsible for coordination and management of Technical Assurance activities
What we need from you
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related Technical Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Refining and / or Petrochemical environment (projects, maintenance, turnarounds) including 2 years in project engineer or project manager
  • Excellent communication skills Customer focus Leadership and coaching, with a Learner Mindset
  • Strong project management skills
  • Proficient with GSAP/SAP
  • Experience with managing all phases of a project
The base salary range for this position is $122,000 - $182,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.

For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 3 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.

Additionally, employees are eligible for disability leave for up to 52 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
